Hi all,

A group of us flatlanders are going to Thunder MTN Lodge from Dec. 27 to Jan. 3rd. There are a few that are concerned for the conditions that time of year.

Should we be worried?

Thanks

Each snow year is different that's for sure.

But typically that time of year you will need to bring snorkels and plenty of extra dry gloves along:)

We will be there December 29 through 31st, if you go we could show you some of the area. Will be on 2008 Dragon and RT 1000 Ski Doo, say hi if you see us.

Glad You are coming out. As a rule for the last 16 years (latest data I could find before I bought the place) there was a minimum of 354" of snow and a max of 566". The weather is just that weather but if anyone is going to have snow it will be us. I rode the weekend before turkey day last year and we had plenty by the 2nd week of Dec. That is usually the norm, you are going to love this place.

The only concern you need to have is hoping you bring enough track and enough motor to spin that track. :becky:

Yeah sounds good. We should be finalizing the trip this week. Shoot me a PM

What would you guys say the type of riding terrain is?

A lot of us are looking for some challenging and technical terrain. I looked on youtube and there sure does seem to be a lot of flat open meadows? I looked at google's topographical map and it looks like theres some big stuff as well.

Looking at coming out there the day after christmas, is there any pretty vertical climbs, never really been to the area and always like a challenge with the turbo. It really looks like a sweet place to ride though from all of your pictures you guys have posted.
