Which of the lodges is the best place to stay at in the Grand Mesa area? What would be the 2nd choice? We would like to have a restaurant at the lodge we are staying at. We will have 2 groups of riders 1 off trail and 1 on trail.

Thanks

Give me a call, I have just what you are looking for. We have the only Restaurant/Bar on the mountain. Park and ride right from your cabin. Hot tub, fuel, guides. Tons of snow right now, riding is perfect. You can see recent photos at our Thunder Mountain Lodge Snow Report II Post here on Snowest. Let me know how many you have and a deal may be available. The cabins are the cleanest, driest, warmest on the mountain, half are recently remodeled with private bedrooms and full kitchens. Everything you need. You can see pics at thundermountainlodge.net. Second choice would be Grand Mesa Lodge. They are only 2 miles away but cabins are a little more "Rustic". I am so confident in what we have to offer that if you stay and are TRULY unhappy we will refund your money. Try and find that deal anywhere else. Thanks, Mark 970-856-6240 or thundermountainlodge@yahoo.com

^X2 on that vote. I haven't been anywhere else, that is only because I haven't wanted to because of the great times I always have at TML

I wouldn't stay anywhere but TML... Mark is awesome..... The wifey and I are planning another trip this year... Also hoping to get up there for the forum ride...

TML and Mark will be awesome hosts! can't wait until our trip up there at the end of Jan.

appears we got another 8" reported by powderhorn today and snowing tonite......i've already lost count of daily amounts...

should be around 35-40" for last few days.....

Great start to a new year!

We are headed up there to stay at the Grand Mesa Lodge. Figure we will get there late Saturday and cruise over to Alexander Lake Lodge as they have live music in the bar. Always a great time on the Mesa.

Another option nearby is the Coulter Lake Guest Ranch. We are 18 miles north of Rifle so it would be a different location from the Grand Mesa. We are 3 miles into the White River National Forest. Coulter Lake has a lodge where we handle all the meals, 6 cabins with 1 to 3 bedrooms, and you snowmobile in and out. There are miles of groomed trails to get you where you want to go and endless meadows, drainages, etc. Take a look if you are interested in a new riding area! www.coulterlake.com
