Grand Lake riding partner needed

I'll be in GL the week of February 16th-20th. I'll be riding during the week if anyone wants to meet up with me. I would love to meet up with some new people. Reply to the thread or call me 816-365-9175. Brian

The forecast is looking good for that week, hopefully lots of new powder to ride in. I may also ride on one of the weekends before or after that week.

Yo,

I will be riding GL on 2-17. However I will be a tour guide for 2 others who ride maybe once a year. You are welcome to tag along for a couple of hrs if you want. But we wont be doing any off trail riding for the most part.

If u wanna tag along let me know. Will be leaving the On the trail Rentals place at 9:00am or shorty there after.

I usually ride Grand Lake every Wed and Thurs, which for you would be the 18th and 19th. I don't really know my schedule or my route until I know who I'm riding with, their skill level, and the snow conditions. You're welcome to stop-into my restaurant (on Main street, see below) on that Monday or Tuesday after you arrive and we'll try to set-up a ride or two. See you then!

Thanks Max- I'll bring my family to your restaurant, eat some food, and maybe make some riding plans. Looks like it's snowing in GL this morning (Mon 2/9/09).

It is snowing. We've got about 2 inches of fresh in town so far. The trails and general riding areas, are higher up, and they generally get about double the amount we get in town (at least). I won't be able to personally confirm this until Wed when I get to ride. It's supposed to snow on and off all this week. Feast or Famine, I guess. It looks like you're timing your trip just about right as far as snow is concerned. See ya next week!

About 6" over the last 48 hours, in town. Probably quite a bit more up high. I'm riding this afternoon (maybe, if I can get all my $hit done), and tomorrow (for sure), so I'll be able to give you a first-hand account then.

Rode today (Thurs) and we found some nice snow, maybe bumper-deep. It has not been too busy on the trails this week, so there's still some powder to be had if you know where to look. We're supposed to get some fresh snow tonight, but your guess is as good as mine as to how much.
