Spoke with a friend who rode GL this past Saturday (15th), he said it was surprisingly good. It has snowed a fair amount in town since then so my guess is that it's even better now. It is warm here though, about 30, but still snowing on and off. I'm planning on riding this Tues, Wed, Thurs so I can give you a First-Hand account tomorrow.

Were would be the best place to find powder filled meadows and good boondocking in grand lake.

There is good Boondocking and Meadow riding in Grand Lake, but it's not as plentiful as it is at Rabbit Ears. Because of this fact, most local riders and others that know the GL area are reluctant to reveal very many of their 'private' powder stashes. In addition, the trees tend to be much tighter here as opposed to other Colorado areas, making finding said stashes that do exsist on your own difficult and a little risky. Add all this to the fact that we have a fairly large rental fleet here, and it turns-off most hardcore mountain riders. They usually end-up at RE or VP or Grand Mesa, etc. However, let me say, that if you invest the time and effort to learn the 'ins and outs' of the Grand Lake Area, you will eventually be rewarded with some incredible powder days! Just don't ask me how I know that.

I have lived in Colorado all my life and have Explored many of the great ridding areas and have a couple of secret spots of my own so I know how it is
would you be interested in showing a small group around GL this Saturday?
The Ridding is going to be epic do to all the snow no matter what but I would love to see some of these secret stashes that Locals are always teesing me with
I have a cabin in grand lake and consider my self some what of a local
