GPS, what to use what not to use for Sledding

I am looking for a gps, for sledding and that I could use in a vechicle. With lots of people using GPS on sleds, what do you guys recommend or which ones to stay away from.

Just thoughts and ideas.

Thanks again

Get one you're comfortable using.

Garmin makes good products.

The search function will give you answers.

What all are you looking for in a GPS? Two-way radio? Turn-by-turn navigation? Big screen? Touch screen?

I am looking for one with all the features of the vechicle GPS systems, but that can be used for snowmobiling,

electronic compass yes
voice -turn by turn for car yes

off trail maps - yes

But most vechicle GPS have you put in a address, no address on trails, or off trail, so I want one to allow for way-points and for favorites I can save for future use, to get back to you favorite riding place on future rides. I dont think that vechicle GPS have that function.

Hmm. I'm pretty sure there's one for motorcycles that's water-resistant and has those features. Not sure on that though.

Garmin Rino, the 530 is a great unit. If you dont have that much money the 130 is a great unit also. Most of the guys in my group have them, and we LOVE them. You can poll someones position when you lose them.
