does anyone have their gps mounted on the sled ? what works best, any info would be appreciated (have garmin 76csx )

I got a Ram Mount for my Delorme Pn-20 on my bars. Made for motorcycles but works on any bar. I just rode with mine for the first time last weekend, and it was super secure, no worries about loosing the GPS. I even managed to roll my sled and it was still there after I flipped it back over.

Beauty is quick adjustment knob so you can move it around with gloves on. I readjust it on the fly if I know I'm gonna be standing for a while.

They make them for all sorts of makes and models, pretty cheap to. Mine was only $30.

I have the RAM mounts on both my sleds for my 60CSX. They are handlebar mount type, but I mount them on the steering post and they are solid & hold the GPS tight. They are out of the way and like said above, just a knob or 2 to adjust for opening the hood or moving around.

Another Amen for Ram Mounts. I use handlebar mount on sled, atv and bike. Also seen the flat screw down mounts on dashes. Spend the money and get a Ram Mount. You won't regret it.

thanks alot for the info evevyone, i think i'm leaning towards the ram handlebar mount , it will be nice to view the screen in front of me instead of always digging it out of a coat pocket

Don't forget a safety tether so that neat toy doesn't go missing if the mount breaks:

a lot of great ideas, is vibration ever a issue with any of these mounts?
my m8 does seem to transfer some vibration through the handlebars.
thanks again for all of your input
