Got two engine codes today... Anyone have any idea why or what to look for.

I have i 07 m8. i rode today in about 5 degree weather. it was running great, then got on to the river and was cruising around 70 mph and the check engine light cam on. flashed two times then a pause then three times, which mean air intake senser and coolant senser. i would shut it down and they would go away. it seemed like the only time the codes would come up is when i would cruise at higher speeds. also wondering if it was retarding its self at full throttle because it would cut out. the code does not come on when i vary throttle. i have a head with low compression domes running premium fuel, y pipe , intake, can, and power commander 5 with the auto tune on it. just wondering if anyone else has had these codes up before or what they could be meaning for the problem. any help would be nice, going to call dyno jet tom.

First start up the sled, then clear the codes by press/hold the rer button untill the wrench light flashes at you. If the code still comes back check all electrical plugs to make sure they are tight. Also check all wires around the ECU, look for wires that may have been melted or damaged. That is a start anyway.

Code 2-3 is "Knock Control System Failure"

that will help did not know how to clear the code. is there a good place to find all the code meanings. if its knock control i will check the wiring but is there something specific i should look for or replace.

There should be a sticker inside the engine compartment (unless the airbox has been removed). Also, try the owners manual and the repair manual.

I have no idea where to begin troubleshooting that code. Hopefully someone has an answer for you.
