Got the updated spindles, take 10 more min to install them RIGHT!

So you went and bought some new lightweight spindles, now what. Something many over look. IMO even polaris over looked this!

Do yourself a favor and add some grease zerks to your spindles. Slide the bushings out of your new lightweight spindles, drill a hole for a grease zerk, screw in a zerk, reinstall the bushings and then you should be good to go! For a couple pennies you can save yourself some work and money later on by being able to grease your spindle's bushings!

the bushings are a lube free oil-impregnated bronze that shouldnt need grease however using grease to seal out moisture and prevent the steel harware from rusting is a good idea. . i always use antiseize when I install for this reason.

They "shouldn't" need anything, but I've seen these bushings with excessive wear in them with only 1500-2000 miles. A little extra lube never hurt anyone :face-icon-small-coo

The older sleds with the zerks installed from the factory, seemed to last forever with proper maintenance.

I agree if they would use stainless bushings and hardware there wouldnt be a need for lube. Iron oxide (RUST)is a poor lubricant and will defietly wear a bushing .
