Got some parts

Got my Babbitts order the other day and my Skinz bumper came in today. Guess I will make room in the garage this week and drag that pig in. The bumper looks pretty straight forward. Does anyone have any tips for the plastic on the front? I heard it looks terrible if you follow the instructions but that could be just lack of patience on their part.

I think the plastic pieces work/look fine, just make sure you test fit them before drilling and riveting. If you want a more custom fit look, heat them up and mold them to the shape of the front fenders. Having a quality brush bustin' front bumper more than makes up for the cosmetics of the plastic filler pieces.

Yeah I guess it does. Just don't want it to look like a hack job.

There's nothing much to it aside from taking your time to check how the hood gaps look before you rivet it into final position, and have some patience when getting the lower bolts in... mine were a P.I.A. to get a wrench in there. One thing I did different from my buddies sled, I turned the plastic filler pieces around (by mistake actually) so they are more angled at the front instead of the pictured 'square' fit they show on the instructions. Then heat them up like Morsno stated to help fill the small gap under them.... :face-icon-small-coo

I've got plenty of time to do it so if I start now I won't be rushed once the snow gets here. That's usually the case. These pictures are better than the ones Skinz sent with the instructions. Thanks!:face-icon-small-coo
