Goodwill on 08 d8 VR and ECU?

Does anyone here know if Polaris or shall I say their dealers, are doing goodwill on 800cfi's voltage regulators and ecu's. Fried mine yesterday, on one of the nicest days of the year for riding, 12 miles from truck. Thanks in advance.

My 09' was out of warrenty when mine went out, took it to the dealer and he said polaris is replacing them for a $50 deductable(includes install) up to 1 year after ur warrenty is up. That was just the vr, not sure about the ecu aswell.

From what I've found, it's 09 and 10 only. Lost both on my 08 and wasn't able to get any help, despite having friends at one local dealer and friends of friends at another. They did offer to send the VR to Poo to see if they would warranty it, but I didn't feel like waiting. Good luck.

first of all any dealer that plans on staying a dealer for very long knows full well that they do not warranty parts like that. A dealership is just the middle man, they sell the product and file the warranties at which point polaris and the companies they get their parts from decide if it is warrantable or not. Polaris's (not the dealers) good will clause states that for all 09-10 sleds that are no further than 12 months out of warranty they will cover the voltage regulator and ecu for just a $50 deductible as if the customer had an extended warranty even though they DID NOT buy an extended warranty and had multiple opportunities to do so.

My dealer did mine for 50$ deductible last year on my 08.
Not sure they would this year!

Good Luck!
