Good to be riding most of March in Colo - All areas, need partners to ride with

I bought a 4x4 motorhome and plan on riding the most of March. I would love to meet riding partners all over colorado. Hopefully meet some new folks and ride as often as possible. The season is coming to an end and I just want to get out there and ride ride and ride more.

Areas I want to explore:

Cottonwood
Red/White
Flat Tops
Steamboat lake/Hahns peak
Buff Pass
Rabbit Ears
Grand Lake
etc

The season is just getting started. We will ride until June this year. You also skipped the best mountains in the state but thats OK, plenty of riders down here already:face-icon-small-hap

I live in the Vail, CO area and run a small snowmobile rental business. Kieper Guides LLC. We rent 2014 Summits, anyway I am down to meet up for a ride around here. Like Flat Tops, Red n White, Eagle, or whatever. Message me with dates in my area. Thanks Jeff

Ouray

I would like to ride that area as well. I just don't know the areas to go. I hear the snow is struggling this year but again march/april can be super fun and can be deep. Riding those months are my favorite because of the warmer weather and sunshine.

Kieper - definiely would like to check red/white, eagle and flat tops. I will get ahold of you as we get closer. thanks for the follow up

I'm not sure where you heard "the snow is struggling this year". Colorado is having one of the best snow years in recent memory, at least WAAAY better than the last two years.

I'm in Grand Lake. I work a lot, but I can usually be persueded to take a few hours off to go riding. Message me if you make it to GL.

There is definately no lack of snow this season. As mentioned, it is by far the best snow we have had in years.

As much as I personally despise Grand Mesa, you should ride it with someone who knows the area. There is endless terrain up there and, lots of snow. Further south you can ride Red Mtn Pass. Unload on the highway and the steep and deep is right there. Further south yet and you have Silverton with Deer Park, Animas Forks, Molas Pass. TONS of really big country to be had there.

If you get down this way I ride weekends and have a good riding buddy that has some weekdays off. We could show you around if you are interested.

Deep Snow...

Big Mountains...

Ha!!! Best snow in years my arse!!! I would like to go back to the good ol days and show you what good snow is!!!

I'll probably be off the last 2 weeks of March with a buddy riding as much as possible. Let me know if you're still looking for people to ride.

I'll be ready to ride. Currently getting my motorhome ready for 3 week travels in march to snowmobile like mad. Goal is to go out from March 11-30th.

Can't wait to travel the state and get a bunch of snowmobilng and snowboarding in.

Sounds good. I think my buddy is here the 13th to the 29th. I won't have the first Thurs Fri off but should be riding after that.
