Good set-up for deep powder riding for the assault

What have you guys found out for the best sled set-up for deep powder mountain riding for a 100% stock 09 Polaris assault? I moved the skis in, front and rear suspension set-up?, I have been playing around with the suspension but not happy yet. What’s working for you guys? The limiter strap is at stock setting should I change it?
I want it to handle like better in the mountains.
Thanks

take that track off and burn it.
jk
but seriously that is the biggest hold back of the sled. i put a 155 skid with a powerclaw under mine but now they came out with a 146 camo extreme, alot less work.

Did you soften up the front shocks and stiffen the rear suspension? What about your limiter strap did you keep the stock setting or did you change it? The track will have to work for this year but next year I will change the track out.

I made one of our Assaults more of an RMK.

1) Moved the Front Track Arm mounting hole 3/4" straight up. There are hole bosses .750" up on the reinforcement plate.

( We have since gone back to the stock FTA mounting holes, I don't remember why now, but this worked very well at the time.)

2) Laid down the Front Track Shock

3) Swapped Center Coil Spring for '09 Dragon SP Coil (easy to find, when owners upgrade)

4) Swapped Torsion Springs for lighter 2003 Edge RMK Springs.

5) Moved skis in.

6)Re valved the Rear Track Shock to Dragon SP Settings "...with "12's" thrown in, says shock guy...)

7) Upgraded to different IFS Shocks.

This last step can be bypassed by getting the dealership to calibrate the WE Airs for the "Trail Setting", the FTA Relocation is also part of the "Trail Setting."

Hers is set up this way, mine is more stock, hers definitely gets on top of the snow, carves, and climbs much better than mine.

Thanks for all the tips. Just want to find a good set-up so I can get more play time and figure out the handling of this IQ chasse out, I’m still learning how this sled handles. It’s a BIG step from my 02 XC700 sled. All I hear about is that the IQ chasse handle so great, but I think I’m muscling it more than I need too?. Thanks again for all the tips and play hard!
