good riser height on my rev....

So, i have a question. im upgrading handlebar setup this year to RSI stuff, and originally i thought i would just keep my stock riser, but now im wondering if i should go taller? when im standing on it normall a taller riser seems like it would be great, like a 8 or 10 inch rsi riser? but then im wondering when im leaning wayyyy off it boondocking if this would be obnoxious? possibly make it akward to boondock with to much rise?

thanks for the help, and im about 5' 8" standing barefoot....

I'm only 5' 5" and I have a 3" ROX with my stock summit bars... it looks too high for me - according to everyone else - but I have been running it this way for over 3600 of my 4325 miles and I love it - great for boondocking IMO.
I'd say go with the higher bars. :)

boondocking

I'm 6' 4" and taller risers are the way to go IMO.

You stated concern about losing performance with a taller riser while boondocking. In reality, the higher your handlebars are set the more everage you will have to lean the sled while carving.

The only downfall to a taller riser is when you are crossing a large lake or riding up north where everything is flat the taller hand placement will make crouching behind the windshield akward for long distances.

i am 5'8"...I used a powermad non-pivot adaptor, 6 inch riser and oversize bar clamps on my 04 Rev....perfect for me.....adding the non pivot adaptor and oversize bar clamp gave me an additional 2 inches of rise...

iam 6' 3'' have a powermad 9'' with the pivot and atv high bend bars and love it. if you go low you'll wish you went bigger. remember if you dont use a pivot it will bring the bars closer too you.
