im thinking about heading to cooke city in march for some good riding........anybody wanna tell me some good spots to hit up?

if your staying in cooke, just ride lulu pass. leave town and ride like 5 miles and your into some amazing riding... from the pass you can see the majority of the terrain, then just begin exploring.

No good riding in cooke...u should just stay home. Just kidding, it's all good down there, talk to I_OWN_U, he seems to know where some good spots are.

i dont think theres a bad spot in cooke, all different types of riding, some huge pulls off left over lulu, and tons of winder terain and cornices to the right off of it.

Cooke has everything to offer. I feel that around Round Lake has some of the best boondocking and seems that not as many people go back there. But who knows, everytime i go there the town is dead. Usually in April. I haven't made it to sheep yet. Heard its pretty wicked back in there. Its all good!

i know ther no guides in cooke!!but does anybody now were i could find a giude for a day?like to see our way around from local

looks like the soda butte is redoin the place!!new windows, new siding thats all i can tell from the web cam

anywhere there is awsome! as for the soda butte lodge....the place is s **** hole...even if they gold plated it it would still be one. dont stay there! we stayed there and the sheets were NASTY and the rooms wernt cleaned at all! resturant was ok other than the *****y waitress! when i go back im staying somewhere else!

I have stayed @ the Super 8 all the times i been there. I never paid over 60 for a room. good continental breakfast, nice clean rooms, and oh ya I believe it has radiant heat in the floors. Very Comfortable. Have heard horror storys of the soda butte. only positive is that it has a hot tub.

yes super 8 is great Bob will take care of anything you need!beds and buns was the worst place i have ever stayed in my life! soda butte was just wore-down and out dated the food was the worst and very expensive, for food eat at miners saloon.

What the hell! You have more red dots then me. I ride there almost every week, it is constantly changing with snow fall. Send word when you arrive, by March most of my riding buddies have gone broke buying yamaha parts...lol ...or are playing snowbird somewhere warmer down south.

lol born and reaised in cooke here haha. I usually go up miller trail right out of town, head over through the trees to daisy ride down by wolverene than do the longgg gloop all the way around through goose crick to Long lake than ove to round up to lulu and than home.

When there is good snow in Cooke there isn't a place that is better. It all depends on riding level and what you are looking for.

I love S1.... one of my favorite videos. We did this same route but starting at LuLu and heading around and up Daisy. Do it before dark LOL.

I'd stay at Antler's Lodge if I was going back. The Super 8 is nice but I like giving the locals the cash. :beer;

haha well thanks. S2: Hangfire is in stores and even better than the first. Thats a nice ride. I know a few secret spots not many find when theres good snow. Kinda my back up plans :-D

It might be owned by Bob but it is still a franchise. Not saying he isn't a great guy but I'd still rather give my business to the little guy since things have been more costly. I didn't realize he is the same owner as Sinclair.

I remember calling around looking for rentals for a friend and someone told me if you rent a sled and are staying at the Super 8 they want it back at night BUT if you were staying at a local owned establishment you could keep it at your cabin/room. That is where my thoughts came from.
