Good Powder Day--Blow out--Area 92

Was suprised to find some deep powder today once we hit the 3500' mark--it was a hoot--sorry no pictures--forgot the camera. But it was over the hood day.

Bad part was we dropped into a area we should not have gone into--but the funny part was we were not alone--others followed-about 8 of us all together=-so after many pulls and different routes tried--we got it packed down enough for everyone to get out--funny thing was--it was the steepest route that packed down the best--and it was a steep one!
Never saw MOB and 4Z after the parking lot--But ran into one of their riding buddies at one point down in the hole--maybe they were smart enough to not ride down into the hole.

Powder about 2 feet deep--then several layers of crust and heavy snow underneath the fluff. Was sweet untill you got stuck--then it was a shovel fest--Needed to make the right choices and keep the throttle down or ---you know:eek:.

Had a great ride--considering I expected Cascade Concrete;)

Happy and safe riding to all--remeber to think before you ride a avy face to play on--AVY conditions is EXTREME!!

I saw you in the parking lot h20, did you guys follow our tracks all the way into blowout? I didn't see you up the gulley in the trees though. I know there were a bunch of people down that hill that couldn't get out, then we told them lets go out the bottom :) I think they were pounding that hill for hour, I know we were in the trees for hours and when we came out, they were still in there. It was crazy deep in the trees !!!

We followed someones tracks down in the first clear cut--rooted around a bit--I tried going out the creek to get up there to blowout to make a trail for the others and spent awhile digging out of that one--LOL. My freind I was riding with with using the cabin sled--144"--bad thing down there. When I got out of the stuck and back down between the hills in the trees--there where about 8 guys there. Then we blew out the steeper hill that most of us got out on--a couple of the others had older sleds that were not going to make it out--so several of the guys went down to help them--must have been you--We contemplated going out the bottom as well when it was just the 2 of us and one a short track. Good to see you were able to help them out:). Not knowing the area real well, We were not much help for getting anyone out a different route.
It is good to see that fellow sledders will step up and help others out:D.

Seems like a great area--But it was awesome deep down in them trees.
Hope to meet up with ya agian and get to meet ya.

I love to drop people off that when its real deep and tell them thats the only way out. Then after they beat at it a while, you tell them a well just go out the bottom. There are ususally 4 creeks we have to fill in, but there was only one, it was about 15 feet deep though. Up that creek and out the back is like my favorite ride for this area. We spent all day just trying to get to the top of the gulley. I wanted to see your 1000 run, i have one as well, and everybody always says yours runs good, well have to hook up again some time.
