My wife and I are having a parents day away tomorrow. We are going to head to SLC and wondering what restraunts you all would recommend for a good steak and/or seafood dinner?

We have already ate at:
Bennehana's
Market Street
The Melting Pot
Old City Jail
Wagonmaster
Diamond Lil's
Texas Roadhouse
Ruby River
Stewart Anderson's
Prime (in Park City)
The one up Cottonwood Canyon
Joe's Crab Shack
and a few others I am not remembering

So do you know of someplace new we could try?

Looks like you hit pretty much all the better ones.

I've never been here but have heard good things and at one time (don't know if they still do) had a Steak and all-you-can-eat crab legs on Wednesday special.

when i was down there... we ate at Braza Grill... its a brazilian place... very very good.. you get all kinds of different meats

Whenever I am in a town with a Hard Rock Cafe I make a point to eat there. The one in Salt Lake was pretty good.

Ate there a few times in SLC. Would be fitting since we are going to the Saving Able, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, and Avenged Sevenfold concert!

Try . . .

It has been awhile since I have been to Five Alls, but I always enjoyed the trip and it was well worth the money. It is always a five course meal and nice ambiance. I think you would be out of there for the same as fondue :)

Or go to the La Puente on 3434 S. State St. (boy, I miss this place) they have incredible chile verde!!! :beer;:D

Sounds like Rodizzio's (SP?) Grill in Trolley square. Very good. I think we may have ate at a Braza in Provo and it was excellent. Daughter said it was her favorite place to eat ever and ever LOL. She ate more than my wife did and she was only 8.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Your wallet will be a little lighter but the steaks are awesome.

No doubt on that! Ate there in San Diego and to this day I say it was the best steak I have ever ate. Next time I go there I am trying the Kobe' Beef (no thats not Kobe Bryant's beef you sicko's)!

Fiva Alls looks really cool and fun. We will definitly be checking this place out soon.

YUMMMMM La Puente is so GOOOOD! Those smothered burrito's are the bomb! Been eating there for years. Used to be a little hotter I think. I can remember coming out of there sweating! I think they have a new location but not sure because the old one burnt down????

Yeah, the old location burned down, but the new location is not too far from the old one. We moved to Idaho a while ago and when ever we go to SLC we make a stop. I even tried to copy their verde recipe. I have to say ~ I am pretty dam close :D if not right on sometimes.

BTW ~ Have fun at Buckcherry ~ I am jealous as he!!

Well we had a great dinner yesterday. We decided to give Madeline's a try and were not disapointed. It was really a nice restraunt. I had a rib-eye oscar style (steak is covered in Asparagus, crab meat, and hollindaise sauce) and my wife had the New York oscar style. They were delicious. Not to the level of Ruth Chris or Prime but as good as any other better steak house in the area I have been to. The owner, Adam, came by our table and visited for a few minutes before we left and he was a very nice gentleman and you could tell he really lives to please his customers.

I highly recomend it!
