I long for the ease of working on my King Cat. I'm trying to change drivers and track on my M 1,100. Hood, footwells , chaincase, exhaust, side panels, sprockets. Actually just getting to the sprockets this morning. Any tips?

Plenty of pieces inside that chaincase, I took plenty of pics when I first dug in there. Especially noting where those Eaton clips are located for reassembly. They can be put together wrong and then you gots big problems.

Fun isn't it?!?! A little more fun than the 800's with all the extra reverse jargin they throw in there. It's pretty straight forward now that you are at the point you are. It just takes awhile to get there! The only word of advice, is when re assembling and installing the chain case cover again, make sure you take some compressed air and blow the holes out that the torx bolts go into. Sometimes from removing the cover, oil can find its way into these mounting holes. When you go to reinstall the cover and crank the bolts in, they hydrolock and can crack the flange. I know because it happened to me :)

I knew there was a reason I keep running the old King and M8, when the panic attack hits I can get to my muff pot in a speedy quick hurry!

Thanks for the tips........

Making slow progress. New drivers are in and working on the skid. I should go order some new screws. It was hard to extract all of them without some damaged heads. I found out Cat had a 3'' Powerclaw track kit, and bought that. It came with 7 tooth drivers, anti stab wheels, track and clutch kit. That clutch kit included both springs, helix, and weights. Wow, I didn't expect that.
