Good Goggles

I have been wearing a pair of older scott turbo flow goggles for a couple years now, but being in the not so marathon runner shape that I am, when I am huffing and puffing in cold weather, they tend to fog up. What are the best goggles, and color for riding out west today? The pair I have now are blue, which aren't bad, but I am open to trying some new colors and styles.

i always use to run with a cheapy pair of scotts and they woul always fog up. while moving/riding it would take forever for them to unfog.

i got myself 509's sinisters (09 models). they come with a nose piece that covers up more of the face. have not ridden the sled with them yet but have ridden my motorcycle with them and they are awesome. i don't feel nearly any wind on my face, and that was without the nose piece. i have the yellow/chrome lens and i think it's going to be perfect. i'd also like to get just a clear or a blue lens for those dim or really bright days.

they are definitely worth the money. great product and great service.

Had my first ride on Saturday with my new 09, 509 Sinisters. Temp was -17. Nose piece was a great addition. No fogging or icing until I spent a few minutes digging out then they iced up, but almost every goggle will in those temps. The Chrome yellow lense seemed to be good in a relatively flat light. Have yet to try them in the sun but I'm sure they'll be fine. Cusshy foam and good face coverage. I'd definitely recommend them.

do the new '09 509's have better face coverage? Bought some last year...'08 models and they are too small. dont fill up the opening in the helmet. makes for a cold noggin sometimes!!

I second the Dragon Goggles!!!! I am also a big fan of the Oakley snowcross goggles; they have additional venting on the lense vs their mx goggles and the optional nose beak is nice for a little wind buffer (Roost too)

Go with the New 509's I rode the other day and it was -19. One of my buddies got stuck left my goggles on and they didn'g fog at all. They keep the etire face warm with the extra foam.

goggles

i like Bolle goggles w/ a polarized lens, nothing beats polarized to see the changes in the snow. we always carry extra pairs if one fogs or light conditions change, grab a different pair.

509's

I got a set from Jaycox haven't got a chance to go ride yet, but they seem to fit nice over my glasses. Thats what I am looking for. will post a report when i get a chance to go ride. Might go out and hit the ditch today just to go for a ride. -23 wind chill this morn at huron sd

Had a pair of Oakleys that the lense cracked when i hit the handle bars. I ordered a pair of 509's last year and i dont like them as much as my oakleys but we will see after i put my quick straps on.

I feel you cant go wrong with Oakleys! crowbar, o frame, stockholm, they never fog for me. I suggest getting a fogevader face mask also, pull the nose over the hump on a openface and helmet it works great. I cut out the mouth pice on the mask for those heavy breathing situations. I never need a bacalava with this setup.

Scott 89Xi Turbo googles rock. The have a real good foam seal and run the 80 series lenses that are popular enough you should be able to pick up a replacement lens after work on a Friday night.

Right now I'm trying the new Scott Voltage ProAirSnow and I like them a lot so far.

i have a pair that are about a year old and couldnt keep them from icing over. will a new lens help? i believe they are scott voltage
