Good Deal on 05 900?

I have a friend looking to sell his 05 snow checked 900. It's bone stock, except front shocks were upgraded last year. 3000 miles. All plastic is in great shape. He wants $2200. Even with all the horror stories I have read and him not doing any updates that seems like a good price to me? Am I just too hungry for a new sled or it is a good deal?

yeah that is a good price. just be ready to spend money. I do believe that some were good and some were bad. Maybe thats a good one.

Just be prepared to set aside a couple of grand, to put it up to speed. And that's being optimistic!! Good luck, they are a great power horse sled, if you really enjoy tinkering on it. Your in the right place for answers to any questions you may have.

Well , depends 3000 miles with no problems ... offer him more.

Problems ... how good of a mecahic are you on the trail?

But at 3000 miles never touched is close to a major overhaul ... or it could last to 5000 miles.

That is a pretty good deal but as stated above, be ready for some unexpected costs when addressing the weak points. I bought mine a couple months ago with almost everything SLP makes for these things already installed on it, 06 pistons and crank, all updates done, and some non-SLP stuff also and I've done nothing but work on it since I got it and have spent another 1000+ on top of what I paid for it just to get it ride ready and reliable. Oh, and it only has 1300 miles on it. I can't wait to ride it, I'm convinced it will all be worth it when I open 'er up for the first time! I think you did good, just don't be surprised at the cost when you dig into it. Good luck. Sonny

killer deal

killer deal man i spent 3200 and then another 1500 to work through the problems but let me tell ya well worth it more power than my 05 king cat i ride mine all the time and talk about pull your arms all day if your climbing good for you on that deal you wont be disapointed.

Heck, I got mine last year for $4500.00, but it only had 260 miles on it and an SLP Pipe and Can and a Timbersled intake. Since then, I have spent enough that I could'a had a 2010 Dragon!! But it goes like cops are chasing you!

true...no 09 rmk/switchback/fusion 900

although...i coverted a ton of stuff on my 05..to the 09..so i also have an 09 900 ;)
