Good daytrip from Denver?

Wife and I are looking for some fun places to ride close to town. Our sleds came from our brother in Minnesota and are definitely trail sleds, not mountain sleds, so we aren't looking to go crazy in the powder. Just want a nice scenic ride. We did Vail pass which was cool, but the trails had tons of washboards shuck kinda sucked.

Thanks.

You can head toward Rabbit Ears (west of Kremmling) or Vail Pass. I wouldn't do VP unless it is during the week. Snow is not good at VP currently however. Our club grooms Red & White and we just groomed two days ago. There are still good pockets of snow up there. The best part is that if your wife is not aggressive, she can stay on the trail while you ride close to the road.

If your looking for close you can do either church park or corona pass in winterpark. Grand lake has a large trail system. I would try one of those three.

My wife likes to ride trails so when we ride together we usually go to the southern Snowies in WY (Ticks parking near Wycolo) or Gould, CO up the poudre canyon just north of Ft Collins. Both areas see very light traffic and the trails are usually very well groomed.
