Golden Family Riding - Blaeberry ?

Can anyone tell me what the best riding areas are for family riding in Golden. I gave been looking at Blaeberry but have never been there. Do they collect trail fees ? Is there enough snow there yet. Can a guy take small sleds up that trail etc ?? Any info would be great !

Blaeberry is good, ya. you ride along a wide river valley.

Sometimes its a bit of a gong show on where to park but you should be ok. depending on if they are logging and how far in its plowed

there are some fun logging roads to duck off on and fool around. and some other good stuff if you look around.

Also check with golden snowmobile rentals they have a great handle on all the areas in golden.They have a web site.

I think some of the best family riding is up to Susan lake which is off the B road around the 10k mark I think, Blaeberry is nice but probably not much snow on the road right now and you are on the road the whole ride. = check with GSR they can give you some up to date conditions when you come out.
And yeah small sleds fine as long as it hasn't dumped alot overnight. Neither of these trails are groomed
other family ride to check out is Mt. 7 cool look out at top over town.
