re golden conditions

checked out Gorman yesterday. people are making it up the hill and some across the lake , but I wouldn't recommend it just yet. all areas still really bony, lang is not really rideable yet. saw several guys with sleds with rock damage.trail not groomed yet, road not plowed past gravel pit to parking lot.

Golden Condition Updates

Rode Quartz Creek on Saturday. Snow was respectable, but could use more. Snow was falling while we were out there and falling when we left. Few landmines in the area so watch out. Had a slide that came down and fortunately Sledder was able to get ahead of it and out run it. Beat up abit on hard landing with sled intact, but put a good scare in him. Trail up in the morning was OK and trail out in afternoon was brutal!

Rode Silent Pass on Sunday. Staging was at marker #46. Road in was snow covered and icy underneath so careful in the corners. Get's narrow towards the staging area at marker #46 so big rigs be cautious. Trail into the area through the trees was rough as usual with a couple nice trenches and some rocks/stumps exposed. Watch the final pull into the alpine riding area as it was getting trenched and really rough mid climb. Snow was ok and pretty much snowing on and off all day. Few landmines up here as well. Trail in and out was ok.

Hope they get more snow soon. Looked promising in the forecast.
