Do you need to be a BCSF member and also pay a day fee of $15.00? If we donot want to join the org. can we just pay a fee at the trail head for the day?

not quite correct. it's $15 for non members, $10 for non resident members. so if you become a member, it will only cost $10 at the trail, not $15

I believe BCSF members get the discount to $10 but Golden Snowmobile Club members, no matter where they call home, only need to show their decal.

The hard part seems to be finding someone who can sell you a membership. Motor Tech , the obvious place to look, is always sold out. The front desk at the Rim had a whole book full but didn't know the procedure.
