Rode Quartz yesterday,

I was surprised at the amount of snow up there. Had a good first ride. That being said the trail up was very rough obviously from not being groomed yet, you have to cross 3 creeks but they werent very wide so no issues there. We did some small climbs and were able to surf around in most places. Not a great base yet but there was approx 5-6 ft in most places. However we did see quite a few small slides happen during the time we were there so sledder beware. Other than that it was worth the drive!

I second what Menace1 posted rode with him,

and grooming is supposed to be just started.

I was at Quartz yesterday (Dec 1 2012) lots of snow, but the trail sucked coming down. It is only groomed once a day I think. For the amount of people that go up there they should do it twice at least.
