Gold finger throttle

And some are different in the way they link up to the throttle lever. My buddies XP Golgfingers are way different. Mine will be for sale when I pull it off next week.... never fully trusted it.

DD is right, the piece that hooks up to the throttle block is brand specific. I've got 2 of them if you are interested...used, but both are in great shape

I love my Goldfinger; its problem free, when you need it and its there, it makes tough spots sooo much easier.

What is wrong with the goldfinger why dont you trust them. I was thinking of getting a lefty and was trying to pick a brand.
Thanks Rob

Some people don't trust them because they can get iced up and freeze wide open when you pull on them... I have had it happen to me, if it happens in a wide open area it is scarey to put it mildly... if it were to happen in a confined area, it could potentially cost you your sled, or even somebody elses... They are a good tool to have if used correctly and in perfect running order, but it can be considered under the heading of "1 more thing that can go wrong"

One piece of advice I would give, if you ever do put a left hand throttle on your sled, GET A TETHER! If something goes wrong and you are thrown off or have to bail, at least it will kill the motor and potentially prevent or lessen any consequences of a frozen throttle.:beer;:beer;

I have a Goldfinger on my old 800.... it was very helpful and a good built unit, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it... as long as it is respected.:beer;

Well put 94
Mine almost always has the lock pin in place. Personally... I am just going to get my bars / controls in a position where I shouldn't need the lefty. It has come in handy at times, but I can sidehill better on the left even without a lefty, go figure lol
