Has anyone been to Gold Creek? Was thinking about doing a trail run tomorrow...

Went up last friday before the last snow storm. There was enough for a fun trail ride with alittle boondocking and climbing. should be even better now

we parked one turn after the new asphalt ends so wasnt bad at all,

I will give more detail later, but it was worthwhile. Met "getsome" up there as well. About 3ft at radio tower and gradually fades to nothing where pavement meets gravel. Why do jeeps go through there and put 2-3 foot ruts in snow? It was hard to find anywhere without ruts except near tower.

because legally its still ok and 4x4'n in snow is pretty dang fun.. we rallied it last YR in my jeep, mid november... followed a big crew in at night time.. guns, donuts, rednecks.. fun.. yeeehaw!

ya I was there..took the wife, kid and fam. from out of town. Drove up a mile and3/4 to the first BIG left hand turn. Turned around and unloaded...decent trail riding from there on up...towards the cabin there was 6 in to a ft of powder on top of a foot ice pack. ALOT of trees, not much snow....nowhere really to ride off the road YET...Was nice to get a first ride in for the season. THANK YOU FOR THE HELP JONFOWLER sorry it took so long for my post but when I got home I had a leaking hot water heater to replace. here are some pics.

That's funny last time I saw that cabin I had to walk down 6-8 feet to get thru the door. Is that you sitting in the snow? J/K wish I could ride anywhere this weekend.
