Gold Creek has not been cleared 10:45PM 02/01/08

Just and FYI for anyone making it up over the Pass in the morning if the projected opening happens...

We checked out Gold Creek at 10:45pm, at that time the road has not been plowed and is in very rough shape. Even the area adjacent to the West bound off ramp from I-90 that offers some limited parking is a mess.

fyi, we rode Gold Creek tonight got in at 1:30am Sat morning, no access to sno-park, road is junk beginning at the on-ramp for 90. The only stuff groomed is about 5 miles in for avy control. We tried to follow the non groomed road and were stuck within 50 yards..if the opening happens it will be a crowd like nothing seen up top because the skiing will be epic. The powder is 6 foot deep. If the groomers get the roads packed it will be one of the best days in history. I've had some great rides at Baker over the years and the snow is comparable. Leap frog will be the words of the day.
