Gold Bridge or Bralorne?

Have a group looking for new BC areas to ride - any information on Gold Bridge / Bralorne area would be appreciated.

Best areas to ride on clear & low visibility days?

Is it best to stay in Bralorne since they have gas / food / bar?

Do we need to worry about theft? Locking up sleds & trucks.

Thanks for any information!

Went to Gold Bridge 2 years ago, amazing riding at Lone Goat and Slim Creek. The snow is either deep or windblown. If the sun comes out its amazing being able to drop into bowl after bowl. If its deep be careful for avys. Theres 2 hotel/motels in Goldbridge also a restaurant and pub. From what I remember there is a gas pump aswell, however we brought jerry cans with us. As for theft I cannot say as the trucks were locked with sleds in an enclosed trailer.

Here is a picture of Lone Goat from a few years ago.

Just got back from Bralorne

I have a place up there and I have to say the locals are doing thier best job ever at opening up new areas to sled in!

They have a groomer in town that has groomed all the main access trails up into the mountains. 100 km's of trails have been groomed in total.

The pub and motel in Bralorne are much nicer than Gold Bridge (no offense to Gold Bridge) and being that the area is so remote, crime is pretty much non existent. Having said that I would still lock things up just to be safe.

Our group rode lone goat, the Noel, Lord of the rings and Taylor basin. Snow was plentiful and conditions were good.

It's hard to go wrong with that area!

Great riding area! Bruce and Sally are excellent hosts and they will make sure you have everything you need (Food, Gas, Comfy bed, and a friendly smile)<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
It’s a long haul in, next time I’d consider throwing a clean shirt and ginch into a knapsack and riding the hurly instead of trailering to Bralorne.

Thanks for all the info. We had a good time in Bralorne. Rode Lone Goat and Lord of the Rings. The pub in Bralorne is great - good food & drinks.

Btw- i now understand the security issue....there is none...it's like 60 miles one way in/out. LOL.
