Going to Anchorage for a wedding. Inexpensive hotel?

I am headed north in a couple of weeks for a buddys wedding. I was looking on line and it seems hotels start at about $125 a night. I don't want to sound cheap but I will not be at the hotel much and don't want to fork out that much cash everyday.

Is there any place(s) that you locals know that have cheaper rates that may not show up on a travel website search?????

Your not going to find anything to cheap since it's tourists season up here. Try looking for a b&b, they are usually a little cheaper than a hotel. http://www.anchorage-bnb.com/

Thanks guys. My buddy lives in Anchorage and the wedding is in Wasilla on the 20th. I have the 20th covered and probably a couple of nights I will go the other direction to Soldotna. Another friend lives there that I am going to try to catch up with.

I've stayed at arctic adventure hostel it's a nice hostel off c st. Only like 40 bucks a night. You basically share a bathroom and shower otherwise you might be able to get a couples room. Cheapest you'll find and the only hostel I'd suggest some are sketchy.
