Hey everybody, i know there is a bunch of threads on goggles, but maybe someone can point me in the right direction. Im tired of having fogged up goggles 3 minutes into the ride.

Which kind to get, how much am i looking at spending for them? Is there a special type of facemask that i should be wearing?

Thanks for the help,

I have had Smith snow warp goggles and been happy with them. If I'm overheated, I do make sure to take them off when I'm stopped. This is a reason I like having quickstraps. Are you over dressed? You might try a fan driven pair.

i dont think that i am over dressed but by the end of the day my shirt that im wearing is wet from sweat, if that tells u anything.

what do u mean by fan driving par?

Smith makes goggles with a AAA battery to power a fan to help keep clear.

If you are covered in sweat, you are not dressed right.

I started using underarmor base, fleece mid pants and klim/polaris outer layer and much more comfortable. Now just have head overheating issues,

if i order them 509 goggles off the interent. how fast are they with shipping them? how long does it usually take to receive them?
thanks

So the 509's will not fog even if you have hot air from your nose going into them? My current goggles fog up the same as the OP, within a few minutes. I was considering the fan type ones, but if the 509's are good enough to not need it that's even better.

The other day i was out ridding got stuck and was getting my sled out and they diddn't fog. I can also walk in and out of the heated garage with them on withought them foging.

I just got a set of the Dragon Vendetta goggles, they come with a snow lens.. These are the most comfratrable goggle I have ever worn the frame makes the goggles wrap outside of the helme, instead of putting pressure on your face to make them tight..

I got the Jack Daniel looking version and have the Budwieser on order..

If you have a problem with a goggle fogging up I always wear a fog evader plus it proctects your face from the cold...

Most companies make a fairly good goggle now. It is important that it has a dual pane lens. I prefer the color of persimmon (sorta orange). Also, the breath guard in the helmet is what has always worked for me. It seals the hot air from your goggles and gives a larger breathing area than the version you wear on your goggles or strap to your face. Those systems can be somewhat challenging at times to get to work easily with your helmet. It also gives the best coverage from the elements.

thanks everybody for the info. i havent decided on what ones im going to get. I think i will go try a couple of first and see how they fit.

thanks again

I have a set of brazing goggles that have never fogged up
hehehe
