wondering everyones opinions on whats the best overall color lens? Ive always used clear all the time and thought about trying blue or orange. and keep a pair of clear in backpack for night?

thanks

Best thing--try some different colors in different conditions.

I have glasses that I can change the lenses in--have smoked for sun--yellow for dim conditions and rose for flat light as well as clear for night.

Try and see what you like.

Blue by far is the best in all conditions. The blue is xtremely helpfull on sunny days and allows some protection against the harmfull rays but is best on cloudy days and or nights. I have multiple lenses but generally use blue. To each is own just my opinion.

I have ProVue goggles with several lens colors. I like the blue ones for most daytime riding conditions. The yellow lenses are good for giving more definition to the terrain on days with flat light.

Last year, I ran some blue Scott goggles :)

This year, I bought a pair of Scott light sensitive goggles, they turn DARK blue when sunny, and remain fairly light on darker days, VERY NICE:D:D:D

You gotta love the Provue goggles. I love being able to snap off a color and try a different color, and aslo take the color off for clear at night. I would not use another goggle after buying one of these 7 years ago.

I concur that th blue ones seem to work the best for most light conditions.

.. Whenever possible I just wear my sunglasses.( Maui Jim's). I have a pair of wrap-arounds with zero distortion. BUT, at 200 bones a pair(non-prescription), they be a bit spendy.. I anti-fog spray the piss out of them the night before & it's awesome! I have a copper, & a maui gray lens.

I have tried many colors over the last couple years.
This is what I wear.
Low flat light Oakley persimmons (too bright for my eyes on sunny days) haven't tried them at night yet.
Sunny Oakley Bronze (not good for night time very dark ) I usually take them off 1hr or so before dark.
Blue lens is best for all around. Good in flat light, decent on sunny days and you can ride at night with them.

94fordguy glad to hear you like your scott xi LS, I have a set on order.

Anyone with the klim f4 helmet how do goggles fit in helmet ?
Do you like the helmet so far?

Paul

Will second the vote on the light sensitive Scotts. The Blue seems to work for me in nearly all conditions.

Wife has orange.. I tried them the other day at night... not bad.... could see, not quite as good as with the clear visor on my full face helmet... but took longer for my glasses to fog.... so it's a trade off...
