GOD BLESS our servicemen!

I realize that Veterans Day was last week, but I just got done watching an awesome documentary on channel 7 about receipients of the Medal of Honor! It is absolutely awe inspiring what some of these men have gone through!
I am a very patriotic person and did not choose to serve in the military. I realize that it is because of all of those who have chosen to serve our country, including my own Grandpa and Dad that make all the things I enjoy here in Utah and this country available.
While I have the ability to just sit in my living room and type about a sport I love there are those who have paid the ultimate price either themselves or a loved one.
No thanks would ever be enough for what these men and women have done for us and others!
But from the bottom of my heart from me and my family.........THANK YOU and GOD BLESS you for the service that you give.:D

Thank you for remembering them.

My son is in the 173rd calvary and was in a lot of bad situations a year ago at this time in Iraq. He had a lot of close calls and his best friend killed on their last day, it has been very difficult for him.

He loves his country and wanted to fight for it. He understood that by joining the Army and this particular unit there would be real warfare. I do not think he realized what all that would actually be like and the scars that do not just go away.

Pray for our troops.

May God bless America

Right on

One of my occupations is that as a Physical Therapist. Since 97' I have continued to say the VA hospital and healthcare system does a good deal of caring for our injured/retired vets. That said, A whole lot more could and should be done. Recently, I have had to write letter after letter of medical necessity for vets that have surgical procedures such as a total hip or knee replacement for much needed post operative total joint rehab.
I guess my point is, we as a community think our federal govt does a lot for our vets... not so in my eyes.
Do a vet a favor, thank him/her and if you see them out getting a meal at a restaraunt etc, DON"T BE CHEAP AND SHOW SOME APPRECIATION AND BUY THEM THEIR MEAL!!!
(No, I am not a vet):face-icon-small-hap
