Go Pro advice

Hey there, I have just got a Go Pro hero 3+ black edition. Been playing with it before my next sledding trip.. My questions is does anyone have advice for the best snowmobiling setting to use. Ie battery life , picture quality, and so on. I have the battery back pack and 2 spare internal batteries. I plan on using the chesty mount and also a mount on my helmet..I've played with the 2.7 and Protune on and the picture is amazing, only bummer cannot be viewed ipad or iphone....
Any help anyone is willing to offer will be greatly appreciated

owners manual suggests 960 at 60 fps for high action stuff.

960 really fisheye the view though.

What do you guys do about the battery in the cold? My go pro hero 3 black lasts literally 5 minutes tops. Full charge down to nothing. Get back to truck it warms up in truck and shows full battery so the battery is not dead but it really doesn't like the cold at all.

Do not use 960. You'll be disappointed when you upload it to your computer and see black bars on the side of our video. I agree on 720 at 60fps
