GM Daytime running light/Turn signal

I drive a 05' Colorado. The Drivers side running light/turn signal is not working. I bought new bulbs, but before I put them in I noticed that the filament is not burned out.
I have seen way too many GM trucks driving around with the driver side running light burned out, so I figure someone can tell me what is wrong.

The fix on the full sized pickup/utilities is a new socket. Haven't seen alot of problems w/ the Colorados. How's the socket look where the bulb inserts?

Never pulled it as the other filament in the bulb is still lighting, and the "bad" one looks fine.

What do you mean by "splice it in" Cant exactly splice a bulb.

The new socket will come with a length of wire. Cut off the old socket and splice in the new. You might just try a bulb first, even if that one looks good.
