Glove recommendations for off trail

Looking at getting a second pair of gloves. Will be off off trail what would guys recommend. I currently have scott pro comp gloves. Pretty uncommon gloves. they have 90g back of hand insulation. Looking at either the 509 freerides or the klim powerxross or the inversion insulated gloves. anyone have and experience with these or other reccomendations? 1737513170934.png

I prefer 509’s. They fit my oversize hands better, don’t tear out between fingers as quick.

I have the klim power cross and inversions from last year. On colder days I like the power cross. This year I bought 2 pair of the Klim Spool gloves. Absolutely love them. Way better than the Inversions and waterproof! Check them out. Note: becuase of the leather palm there is a break in period but after that awesome!

I was going to say, I’ve passed my klim ones on to others because the palms are aways too slick when wet.

I went with Klim Spool gloves and they fit my large hands very well and have stayed dry. No insulation in them, but that should only be an issue if you are riding on a trail for an extended period. I hate bulky gloves, so the only time I use them is on those super cold days on the way to/from riding areas.

My favorite gloves and the ones I wear the most are the Klim Powercross. I personally find the warmth and grip of the leather palm superior to the synthetic found on other ones. Going on my second year with current ones and other than a split seam on index finder ( I sewed it up) have been pretty durable.

try to try them on or order a couple different manufacturers from a place with easy returns. Everyones hands are different. Some gloves will just fit you better. I like the klim or old motorfist gloves. 509 just doesn’t fit me well. They seem to run small and thats not a big deal but even a size that fits doesn’t fit me personally well.

Ya the scott ones i have got like a tacky silicone material on the palm. i do have some scott glove for trail in and out and if its not super cold but haven't even worn. them yet there were my dads. Idk if it his pair specifically but they are super stiff. We mostly have went on about -10c days. and some later warmer spring riding. I may look into my own pair of warmer trail in and out gloves too in the future. Probably will go to the dealer and try some on of course too1737573281878.png

Ya i tried boots 2 years ago 509 felt strange to me put on som kilm klutch gtx boots felt so natural and comfortable

I tried to use the Klim Inversion insulated last year and didn’t like them. They don’t have any grip on the thumb and I felt like I was slipping all over the throttle. Switched to a pair of Fly gloves that I’d had for a while and ran those with decent results. Think I might try the spool gloves this year. I don’t like bulky gloves while off trail either.

Ya we dont have any fly or motorfist dealers. The motorfist dealer abandoned sleds and gear pretty much

I dont even remember when or where I got them. I would compare them to a dirtbike glove, just a little thicker. After seeing lots of people recommend the powercross, I just was looking at them on Klim’s site. Might actually go that route for a leather palm with a little bit of insulation and then run the flys if it’s on the warmer side.
