Global warming?

How is it that a trend is in place, although the data shows a reversal? Are 150,000 square miles not an improvement, if we are suppose to have more sea ice? And we know this is the standard based on less than 30 years of data?

"This year was colder and other weather related issues" I guess that's bad news if you are in the business of predicting global warming.

Arctic Sea Ice

Yeah I don't get what the article is trying to point out. Wouldn't that fact that the Sea Ice didn't retreat as far as it did the previous year be a good thing?

It's not "Global Warming" anymore, now it's "Global Weather Shift". That way the hippies can say warming and cooling trends are the effects of human pollution.

I agree. I have heard Climate Change, shift... etc. This moron writing the article used "Global Warming" so obviously right there we know this guy is an idiot and doesn't know what he is talking about.

Thou has spoken blasphemousness of thine lord and savior al gore!

Repent ye, repent!

Either way were screwed. If the ice keeps melting the greenies will push for more, and if it starts to come back they will say we need to keep reducing green house gases. So were F@>KED any way it goes.

global warming

Id like to know how much of the **** they pump out into the ocean has a effect on the ocean and there global warming, they just drug some big plastic pipe a mile long out into puget sound and dropped it into some 600 ft hole to dump the waste!!!! What a joke .... dont build or mess with a swamp ,but it ok to dump crap into the ocean!!!

I was watching the talking heads and they made an interesting point on global warming.

You won't hear about a change in stance on global warming till after Jan. Why?? the dems don't want to talk about it because they have pushed so hard to make it part of their platform, the Republicans arn't pushing it because the public isn't informed enough to understand that hoax that has been put out. So they don't want to hit the anti-green button and alienate a large block of voters.

So wait till after jan. for a change in stance.

I don't know, Obama's own website is still going on about greenhouse gases. But, who knows.

Reduce our Greenhouse Gas Emissions 80 Percent by 2050

* Implement an economy-wide cap-and-trade program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050.

The Obama-Biden cap-and-trade policy will require all pollution credits to be auctioned, and proceeds will go to investments in a clean energy future, habitat protections, and rebates and other transition relief for families.

* Make the U.S. a Leader on Climate Change.

Obama and Biden will re-engage with the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) -- the main international forum dedicated to addressing the climate problem. They will also create a Global Energy Forum of the world’s largest emitters to focus exclusively on global energy and environmental issues.

I was watching TV the other night and saw an add for the Honda Clarity, a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, who's only byproduct is water vapor. In a moment of drunken intelligence I remembered (from another show I had watched a while back) that water vapor comprised roughly 5% of the overall atmospheric volume. I thought I also remembered that water vapor was a bigger contributor to 'warming' the atmosphere than CO2.

Here's a 'what if?': Wouldn't it be incredibly ironic if 20 years down the road we are all listening to news reports about how much warmer the earth is due to the hydrogen vehicles and how they have doubled the water vapor in the atmosphere and kicking ourselved in the a$$ for letting auto manufacturers produce these hippie, left wing liberal, lobbyist transporting pieces of shiite. I may be way off base but it's just a thought.
