Global warming

You've got it all wrong... this is going to make him happier than a fly in $hithouse.

His "green" agenda is succeeding!!! In a really fast way too.... I'll bet not even HE could have predicted we could have such a huge improvement on the climate just by spending billions of dollars on research.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Quote : Other Highlights
There were more than 300 low temperature records (counting daily highs and lows) set across states in the Midwest during the last two days of August.
A total of 7,975 fires burned 1,646,363 acres in August, according to the National Interagency Coordination Center. August 2009 ranked fifth for the number of fires and sixth for acres burned in August this decade. From January through August, 64,682 fires have burned 5.2 million acres across the nation.

This frusrtates the $%&* out of me. If I'm not mistaken, This is the very reason the USFS was created..... To stop the fires that were burning up this country!! Through proper land mangement, and vegitation control. Not locking up everything in the country, and watch it burn!! Looks like another govnt. entity that doesn't do their job.

OOHHH thats right this helps prove their global warming theory... duh!

Correct, "Through proper land management".
Unfortunetly the enviros have mucked up the process SO bad there is no "proper land management" anymore.

The "let mother nature" take it's cource horse chit has left our national and regional forest primed and ready for massive fires.

shoulda seen Joe Bastardi on oreilly last night... since 2003 there has been a downward trend in temps... hugely divergent from what the eco-nazi's were predicting... it was awesome... and the trend appears to be continuing downward, should make for a great winter this year

I can't wait for the entire northeastern corner of Minnesota to burn. The FS is so screwed up there it's not funny.

On July 4th 2004, we had several gigantic storms. The blow down was tremendous. People were stranded, campsites, trails, landings, and every other man-cleared area was unrecognizable.

Now, that blow down is dry, very dry. Every time lightening strikes, the FS sprints out there and stomps it out. That WON'T work. You NEED to let it burn. Keep it under control, burn small areas at a time, but let it burn. The area is loaded and ready for the biggest fire in centuries.

That was a good one to see because even Oreilly believes in Global warming.

controlled burns are good, but in a blowdown area I would think its best to go in and log the area and remove all the damaged trees. This way you are creating a job for the logger, the guys at the mill, the truck driver, carpenter, plumber, electrition, real estate agent.....so yeah you could pretty much trace all the economic problems back to not letting us log enough. haha.

back on topic though...Al gore is an idiot who has wasted a lot of our money.

They can't. This is a "wilderness area" you can't have anything motorized, you can't even have aluminum cans. Logging would be difficult. I think they should X-out the wilderness area and log it out, then prescribe burn the rest. But, that'll never happen.

If they leave it up to mother nature, she WILL take care of it.
Just look at what happened in Yellowstone.
When these areas finally burn, it will be an inferno.
With all the beatle kill around colorado and wyoming the fires will make yellowstone look like a camp fire.

Pound sand baby.

Whats ironically ironic here is Algore conciders us who dont believe in HIS devastating weather reports as those who believe the Earth is still flat types.YA GOT THAT? ALGORE says we's drooling idjiots.
Whats even more ironically ironic is that "WE" (the drooling idjiots) consider ALGORE the Paris Hilton of the political/shakedown realm...complete with stick up the arse.
Algore...betcha he has Tipper shave his arse, sooo smoooth!
