Anyone ever stay here and ride? 18 miles north of Steamboat...looks like nice cabins for a good price. Going this weekend and looking for advice as to where to ride from here.

You won't be able to ride from the cabin...you can keep going up the elk river road past the cabins up to seed house area out of Clark, up to steamboat lake and hahns peak area, or backtrack a little toward steamboat and ride buffalo pass. The cabins are ice, and it is a cool area, but plan on trailering a bit.

The closest I have come to that area is staying in Steamboat. Great town itself, but the area we ride from there is Rabbit Ears Pass. About 25 minutes south of Steamboat right on highway 40. Usually park in the Muddy Creek area, you will see multiple trucks and trailers after you pass a few cross country ski area parking lots. Plenty of riding area from there and I would recommend it worth the drive for you to check it out. Good luck!

We stayed there last weekend in jan. Was a great time.

Head up the road a little further to the Hahns Peak Roadhouse. You can ride right from there. Great riding area.
