Hello SnoWesters!
I'm Harold Olaf Cecil, the owner and co-founder of Giant Loop. In 2008, we started our company in Bend, Oregon with one motorcycle saddlebag for dirt bikes and a website. Now Giant Loop's line of adventure proof packaging systems and gear is taking motorcycle riders on some of the world's most extreme off-road journeys on every continent but Antarctica.
This year, after much testing with prototyping with Canadian endurance snowmobile racers and the owners of Motonation Canada, we launched a new snowmobile-specific line, Giant Loop Snow. Experience gained from six years of designing and manufacturing (made in USA) some of the world's most rugged, stable and lightweight packing systems for motorcycles has been applied to Giant Loop Snow's tunnel bags, gear pockets/bags and other essentials for snowmobiles and snow bikes, polar tested by Canada's podium finishing Cain's Quest team, Snoxcapes.
My Norwegian immigrant grandparents founded Bend, Oregon's first ski shop in their garage in the 1930s. I have spent a lifetime on motorcycles and skis - and using snowmobiles to access the backcountry. Here's a short article from our local newspaper, "Snow Is In His Blood."
I look forward to becoming involved with this community of snow sport enthusiasts!
Go light, go fast, go far,
Harold Olaf Cecil
