GGB trail can fit

Got my GGB trail can for my axys, fit seems meh. I didnt use either of the rubber black pieces from the stock can that go on the bulk head or the cross member? Couldnt get either of them to fit. The bottom of the can also doesnt line up with the outlet, its pressed against the rubber tightly towards the front of the sled (pic attached). Is that just how it fits?

That's how my buddies mtn can is as well. I think he used the long rubber mounting piece thing.

I smacked it. No go. It just does not fit anywhere right. Doesnt mount square to the pipe. The center tab that goes over the crossbar needs to be moved forward, the bottom tab is overly tight and doesnt line up. Cant get the outlet to line up. Hate to complain, but I am getting frustrated with every aftermarket part I buy not fitting or needing modification. Maybe I just got a bad one.

The coating is already coming off in some places from trying to install, so it doesnt exactly look "brand new" anymore. Should I expect the dealer I bought it from to take it back, or try to go directly through GGB?

Indeed- they have updated all cans with the sealing ring to prevent snow from coming in while riding- especially for the QD guys
Graham is great to work with, and stands behind his product.
This gap was caused from the variance with Polaris installing the belly pan - Some fit like a glove, some fit like a hot-dog- down a hallway....
I am a dealer for GGB and have had nothing but outstanding support from them.

New one showed up... sooooooooo much better. Fits like a glove, and sounds nice. Only ran it on the track stand, its got a nicer tone than stock but doesnt sound like it will be obnoxious.

I just received the Trail can I bought through Go Big Parts. I too am frustrated with the fit and must have received the older version. I'm so relieved to know there is a newer version that apparently addressed the issues. I will hopefully be able to exchange as well. Thanks for the info!!

As you can see, the old version (first picture I posted) does not have a "ring" around the belly pan outlet. Besides adding a ring I can see that the center hook is different and the coating/paint seems a little glossier.

I emailed Randy from Go Big Parts today asking if I could exchange my can for the newer version. I received a prompt and straightforward reply advising me that a new can would be sent to me. So far, I couldn't ask for better customer service. I definitely will be a return customer!!

Put the trail version on my '16. Quick question, do you reuse the "rubber" mount on the new can? If so how do you get it off the stock pipe, it seems to be formed into the brace on the pipe. Thanks.

Yes- you need to use the stock rubber from your original can-
Sometimes you need a flat blade screwdriver to pry that bugger out .
If you don't use it you have metal on metal and it will just rattle around in there, and put stress on the welds on the bracket.
It needs to have that energy absorbing rubber.

Also reuse your stock springs...

If you have any issues P/M me.:)

I ended up tearing the "tit" off of the rubber piece you are talking about. Not how I planned it, but it happened when I was trying to get it pulled out of there, seems to be fine that way though.

Well, I received my replacement can and the newer version fits great. Very pleased with the customer service from Go Big Parts. Randy never hesitated to make things right, and Michelle made the arrangements and took care of me. Great customer service.

Received my replacement as well direct from GGB. I emailed and sent photos. No questions, no bs and one was shipped out right away. Nice to do business with a company like that once in a while.
