Getting the new ride ready

I upgrade to the XP this year and I'm finishing up a few things before the weather gets cold.

I found this plug unpluged when I got the sled, the speedo seems to work and the trip is working... what is it? Any help would be great. Should it be unhooked or plugged in?

It's just behind the chain case right by the outlet for the fuel tank.

Sled was a 146 and I stretched it out to a 163 with a Camo Extreme and some Ice age rails. I fabed up this tunnel extension and think it turned out to look clean.

X my finger I don't have cooling issues, some have had a problem with the 163 track and 146 cooler. I'm hope it's fine.

So the total setup will be 163 camo extreme, 19/45 gearing, CPI single pipe with there twin stinger can setup, Clutching was done by I-90 so I will just try it but planning on a rooster built kit, timbersled intake ( it was on there when I got the sled, so we will see how runs with it ), SLP 3,000-6,000 Head.

Any thoughts on Y-pipes, I know they are not as advertised but with the pipe will they compliment each other?

.020 shim under the needle and 490 mains... shim was in it ( CPI recomended with the pipe ) and I added the 490 mains per the SLP instructions. The head called for a .020 shim as well... not sure if I should mess with it or not. Planing to keep an eye on the plugs first couple rides just to see were I'm at.

OH yeh it's an 08 and the grey pannels have the normal stress discolorations... is there any way to prevent this or should I just put a wrap on it?

I was riding an RT1000 last couple seasons with an 04 rev 800 144 thrown in the mix. I think this set up should rip pretty well.

That plug looks to be the BUDS connector, it should be stored (plugged or inserted) into the gray socket in your picture.

Sled looks really good! Nice job.

Try heating the side panels with a heat gun.....sometimes the stress marks fade away. If not, black panels :face-icon-small-win
And yes, that's just the diagnostic plug. The speedo plugs the black one next to it.

You should look into getting a Custom Boss Seat, you can get colored panels now to match any color scheme you might be running on your sled.

F - that!!!

I was fooled into buying on of those last season and what piece of junk. Never going to spend my money on one again.

You say they have changed, good then you can give me one to try since I wasted my money on the last one .

That's great, I sold the sled it was on.

What really got me is when I tryed to warranty the thing last season, the fabric was falling apart, the seam were it snaps to the tunnel was pulling apart and the water proof zippers were falling apart. There answer was " just pick the rest of the zipper flaps off, and use hair drier to melt the fabric shreds" the pulled seam was never even addressed... they said if the hair dry did not fix it then it was basically not there problem.

Mind you this was there "improved" version with new fabric and upgraded zippers, not there first year "new style" that had zipper pull problems.

I paid 400 bucks for a seat that looked like crap after 4-5 rides. I tryed to deal with it threw there warranty program and pretty much got told it's not there problem they put out a crappy product. I try not to bash product for the most part but after my experience with there customer service and now they drop into my thread and try to pimp there next new piece of junk... sorry.

I won't buy one.

I agree 100% this is their one shot for me I actually went back to a stock seat because it was an big hunk of junk I will see what they have to say at lunch. and the base price on that seat is $488

Boss seats

I am sorry that you folks have had a bad experience. We will do our best to make it right with you. I can understand and fully appreciate your distaste for the product. I can make up excuses all day long, but the story is this. We have made some business decisions in the past that have not worked out for us, we are now trying to right these wrongs. We appreciate your business and will work as hard as we can to make you believers again.

send me a new cover for free, yes free thats warranty, a replacement part for when something malfunctions due to manufacturing flaws, I have a sour taste because I could maybe make 2 rides if lucky on the zippers but if the new one holds up great

Yeh at this point all your promise for a better product means is that now you wisper in our ear before you F- US.

You had your chance to make me a loyal customer and you blew it.
