Getting out of a Snowcheck?

Thinking of bailing on my snowchecked Summit X 163 - what is involved if I want to try and 'sell' the snow check. I was under the impression its non-transferable but I keep seeing a few posts/ads for a Snowcheck for sale.

Dealer will let me apply the 500 for a sled they have in stock but I am thinking of going a different direction than what they have in stock

thanks for the help

i too dumped my Summit X
dealer let me transfer the $500 deposit to my FreeRide
If i was going another route, maybe they will let you keep the $500 as an instore credit

not sure what you could use for, but you could sell the instore for $400, and only lose $100 instead of $500??

just a thought

The deposit is supposed to be "non-refundable" but it is really up to the dealer. I have never heard of a dealer that wouldn't let you find someone to take it over and replace you in the transaction. The new buyer gives you back your $500 and takes over the deal. I backed out of one of my snowchecks and my dealer (I90 Motorsports) saw I was trying to find someone on SW to take it over so they wouldn't get stuck with the sled and they told me not to worry about it. One more reason I buy from them as much as possible.

Thanks for the clarification. Will swing by the dealer in the next couple of days and see what they can do or if I should try to find a buyer
