Getting new sled trailer need help deciding

I'm going to get a sled/motox trailer put together for me. Help me decide what i need. This is my first enclosed trailer so I'm having a hard time deciding what to go with.

I think I want 24'+ the V.

Can't decide deck over or low boy

Don't really ever use the front door so I was thinking cabinets and tool box in Vnose

How High?

I want to insulate the whole thing and heat it. I want to be able to dry all the riders gear out in the trailer.

Where to put fuel doors?

Is there any fuel tank options to put in the frame with a pump for race or avgas?

110V kit?

Propane heat or electical with generator?

If there's anything else anyone would like to add or comment let me know. I like to learn from others mistakes lol

Ive been through a couple. Best advise I could give you. Don't buy a cheap one. Mid line or above. Couple of buddies just purchased Mirage and Trails West. Both are steel and came fairly well equipped and were under 20k cdn done. Not bad for new with full heat, cabinets and stereo. Trails west has a pretty cool in floor heat program. Worth checking out. I did my own to the tracks. Works pretty good as well.
I have full tool chest, Generator and Inverter cabinets up front but can get a sled by when needed. I don't use the front door too often but it is nice when needed.
Good luck deciding........most mfg's are 6-8 weeks out on delivery of custom builds. Better hurry if you want something for Christmas.
Cheers

Have owned and used, and abused multiple trailers in the past.

Continental Cargo
Haulmark
Featherlite
Mirage
Interstate

I think you will be able to find negative feedback on all of those brands relatively quickly with a google search. No, not everybody is saying negative things but more than just a few. For one reason or another. And to be honest most of our dealings with the above trailers have been good. With that said we just recently had an issue with one of the above companies, that did not turn out well.

We are now getting a new trailer from Trails West. Although they are relatively new to the sled and powersports market they have a great reputation in the Ag trailer business and so far we have heard ZERO complaints about their RPM sled trailers.

If it were us, we would point people to Trails West or Triton 9 times out 10. Yes a little bit more money, but you get what you pay for and having issues on the road adds up in a hurry when talking dollars.

I just went through the same decision as you. I'm having a 7.5 x 27 (23+4ft V) stealth built right now (should have it in 3 weeks :) ). I went inline because they pull a lot nicer and im traveling the same kinda distances you are, min of 10hrs and usually on the good old #1 highway so 3/4's of the time its a gale force cross wind from regina to the hat or calgary haha.

Not sure how tall you are but im 6'2'' i had to go with the extra height otherwise i have to duck all the time. Went with the 6'' extra width just for comfort cause we tend to pack heavy on tools and parts lol.

Im going to strip mine down and insulate with rigid insulation for the walls and roof, and probably spray foam the floor. Buddies sprayed there walls last year and it ended up a bit wavey on the outside skin.

Still havent decided on what type of heat to put in it, leaning towards electric w/gen.... so im still lookin there.. but if your hoping to dry out all the gear in there i would definitely suggest some sort of forced air setup so it doesnt take forever.

I see your not that far away from me.. If i were you i'd definitely look in the states for one. Im saving over 5g on mine buying from MN vs buying the exact same thing in toon town. Its a 10 hour drive but i like road trips and saving that much makes it well worth the trip! And just for reference, stealth was a 5 week lead time, 6 with finished roof, when I ordered 3 - 1/2 weeks ago.

You are going to use your front door. Don't clutter up around it. Yes the sleds have reverse but its a hassle and sometimes takes help to get them out backwards.
Your going to want a long enough tounge so you can open your tail gate. The long tounge also helps in with backing up.
I have a triton 7 ' wide and its low like a lowboy.makes towing a breeze

I would definitely say take your time and go see some trailers with the options you have listed. Don't just rely on pictures on the internet. You need to go walk through a few and see what you like and don't like about each. Then make your decision. And you will use the front door, don't clutter it up.

neo makes a 7' 6" wide trailer. That might be the ticket. Not sure if they do the moduline cabinets and accessories though like triton does. They have their own cabinets.
