Getting A New Sled M8 Sno Pro Or HCR?

I want to Get a M8 sno pro but i have heard great thing about the HCR. I know the HCR has better shocks and springs but what else? im going to turbo this sled when i get it so i was wondering if boondockers is good or i was going to go with twisted a turbo kit. I dunno hit me up if anybody has some info. thanks

Titanium Spring in the Drive clutch
Titanium Springs front shocks (Fox Zero Pro)
Hillclimb Sliderail (don't know the difference but different part #)
Deep keel skis
Boss seat
Wider stance (42 to 44)
Powerclaw track with harder Durometer
Pearl Cat Green (awesome green)
Crossfire Windshield

457 pounds is the weight claimed by AC.

This is lighter than the sno pro.

Plus all the features from the sno pro.

You could also buy an RTR, these sleds show up at your dealer in a crate, all you do is put gas in. Regardless the HCR is a way awesome sled, cant go wrong.

As I tally it, the only thing making the HCR lighter than the SnoPro, is the Boss seat. You don't get a Boss seat on a SnoPro unless you snow check it or you pay for it. Seat is stock on the HCR. If you put a Boss seat on a SnoPro, you are probably a couple pounds lighter than the HCR. Cost of a Boss seat without A/C special incentive offer is +$500.00.
HCR has zero pro gas shocks with titanium springs. SnoPro has foxs floats with no springs. Weight comparison is probably close. Cost of titanium springs approx +$500.00. Cost of regular springs on base model M8 is approx. $80.00. Don't know the cost of floats, but they are stock on the SnoPro.
So, to get a SnoPro, and put ti springs and gas shocks and a Boss seat you are looking at over $1000.00, but you can probably find an '09 SnoPro hold over in the spring with a Boss seat at a good price and then add the springs if you wanted for less than the HCR price.
Out of the box ready to ride turbo HCR sounds like your best option to me.

The wider stance will provide a more stable ride. So if you're into jumping or high speed climbing on hard pack then the wider stance is for you, but if your more of a boondocker then the stock set-up will probably suit you better. Also the A/C Boss seat is really goofy. I would be pissed if I were A/C 'cause I'm guessing that Boss' prototype they offer didn't look like the production model.

Rode an HCR last weekend and the thing flat rocks!! Will be selling my M1000 soon and going to the HCR for sure. It felt feather light and the new track puts you right on top(even the harder HCR track). Only setback is the lack of warranty on the HCR.

What? Lack of Warranty? I have the Arctic Cat 2 years + extend 3 years FULL (1200$CDN), so 5 years total... i call that the best warranty on the market! :wine:

The HCR is a great sled. We just finished up an HCR with a Pump Gas Turbo and are taking it out this weekend! As far as turbos go not having to run race gas is going to be hard to beat, but I will let you know how the sled performs after this weekend.
