Geo mod...how to?

So i've been reading a lot of guys doing the geo mod, i've gotten some info but I want to know exactly what I need to do in order to do this. Thanks in advance.

This is how I did my M7. Got it from Mt_Extreme

The plastic coller that your rear suspension springs front side slides in (down by the rail) just needs to be mounted 1" further back towards the tail. Just take it off and drill a hole in your rail at the same height but 1" back and reinstall. That is all there is to it

Here is a pic of the mod (along with the HRP relo. bracket) from another thread taken by RickM

Notice the hole just above the end of the spring, that is the original mounting point of the slider.

really only heard of this helping 05-07 sleds

These posts will not help you if it is an '08. These are for the '05-'06 models. Their is a Geo mod for an '07-'08 to, but I can't remember how to do it. Hopefully someone will jump in here for you. I know you can search for it. I have looked it up before, but decided to revalve the shocks instead for more transfer. Good luck!

The float skid mod makes the rear a bit LESS progressive, so you can run less pressure in the rear shock for softer ride, but it still has plenty of rate at full compression for big hits, so GEO says. Others have reported problems with the rear skid collapsing and not working right at all with this mod...? I haven't run it yet, still trying out the Fett chambers (sorta do the same thing).

I haven't done it yet, just had my shocks re-valved by GSR and got a Holz dual rate spring for the Zero Pro on the front of the rear skid.

I sort of condensed it into a pdf with all the chatter cut out that you will have to sort through on the thread.

PM me and I can email it to you.

there is also a hole in the front of the tunnel that you drill out above the front arm it is easy and helps alot if you have an 07-08 with the suspension spring moved back like on the first pic some say you need anti stab rollers I havent used them but if you have the cash its just insurance but it helps abunch. I havent got my shock revalved but I guess that helps also.
