General questions about the 900 fusion platform -help request-

Hey
Have read several posts on snowest and was hoping for some suggestions on the 2005 fusion 900 platform.
Recently bought one on a whim, got to love auctions.
Anyways, started to read up on them and I have a few questions regarding the motor
Sled is a 2005 fusion 900 with 800 miles on it and about seven updates on it, still going through that list to find what else is missing.

I plan to have the primary clutch balanced, this sounds logical and in my price range if I plan to keep the sled.

My questions are regarding the engine. Basically I was wondering is the crank issues seen on this motor an engine design issue or a chassis design result from the vibration of poorly mounting the engine (two mounts in compression and two mounts in shear). Basically, if you had the motor mounted correctly to eliminate the vibration (say on a test stand) do you think you would still see the failure rate on these motors? I realize that this was a first year chassis and first year motor, just wondering opinions.

Still trying to figure out if I should cut my losses and resell it or make a concerted effort to make it a long term sled. I love the way it handles and am a big fan of big blocks.
Current sled is a 1999 440 snow pro with a 05 cat big twin900 with a M-10 suspension. This was a fun project, so I have no problem with working on sleds , it’s just after spending 3k on this sled I am wondering even if I could mount it correctly and bring the vibration down to where my current sled is would the motor still self destruct within a few thousand miles.
My other option would be to mount the cat motor in there. Which is truly a beast that runs great and have had 2k miles without even a belt change let alone any other problems and figure something else for the reverse.
I really like the upright position on this sled and the chassis is mint(800 miles it should be)

Not trying to take up two much of your time, just looking for opinions on the motor design

Thanks in advance for any advice on this platform

I actually emailed IndyDan this same post, but realized he is probably pretty busy so I figured I would look for suggestions here. Also I have A.D.D. and can't wait for anything (life long problem)
