gen 2 ski mods

anyone see that thread about cutting the outer edge off to better handle? i can't find it?

why cut the outer edge. the only issue with the skies are it can make the nytro a little harder to pull on its side. If this is the case just take the spacer on the outside and move it to the inside so it will narrow up the width of the stance some guys like a little narrower I dont mind it wider.

I have a set on my TRX and love them. I did see a post of cutting the lip but have not found the need.
I have better flotation with the TRX with Gen 2's than on my 08 XP with stock skis.

your the first to say that! and i've asked before! i don't like the forward stand yet. but learning to love it after comming off a cat!still need to know better to cut the outside edge off?

Just run em....I have had mine on my nytro for 2500kms...they flat out work.

Just run'em. Only place I noticed any difference is on hard snow with only an inch or two of cover they push abit more than the stockers. Nothing bad, just noticeable back to back. I don't rat race on the trail much so I don't care about abit of push.

I just put mine on last weekend just in time for 4' of fresh worked awesome in the powder and on the trail.. One of the best mods yet besides Boost
Took sway bar out as well so much better without it!!

cuttin the Gen II's

You may have been thinking of the mod we have been doing for the SLP Powder Pros and the stock Nytro skis.

The big reason we cut that edge off is the side profile of the ski shows a curve back down from where the center of the ski is. This, in some cases, will cause the rear of the ski to want to push the tip of the ski down, making it more difficult to keep the tip up and cut in that direction.

Again, both of these moddified skis have that general side profile.

IMO, the Gen II's wouldn't benefit as greatly as these other skis with this modification....
