Wondering if anybody has had experience with both of these options. If you have, Could you please tell the likes and dislikes of each, and of course which of the two you prefer? Thanks in advance!

I like odi, not much different than ruffian. I've had a couple sets of gel wraps and they just wear out too fast. Once you've done your first set of them they are easy to put on and do not slip but they wear the outer coat off quickly.

Like the Ruffian's....never had gels but the ruffs are proving to be tough and provide good grip and allow descent heat transfer.

I'm a big fan of the gel wraps. they are comfortable, can adjust them to whatever thickness you want and yes if you ride a lot you'll go through 2-3 sets a season but whatever they are cheap and easy to replace. Plus no grip slippage at all. You can always use bike handlebar wrap or tennis handle wrap, they both work well, as do the RSI wraps.

my ruffians would move when they got hot :( i used the grip glue from rsi upon install & after my rides they would be nice and tight again. was going to try the wraps next.

yeah I did the wraps for 2 years then got a new sled and did the ruffians with RSI grip glue and had the same problem, upon turning on my hand warmers the glue would heat up and slip. At the end of last season I got rid of the ruffians and went back to the wrap and am happy once again.

Had both, loved both. Gel wraps wore out within a year. Ruffians are going strong after 3. I run Ruffians on all of my sleds now. I use spray paint(Safety Orange is a favorite) to install grips......works better than any grip glue I've ever found. MTB, SNX, or MX specific. None work as well as good old paint spray. And the grips NEVER move.
