whats the largest hyvo gear that will fit in the bottom on a edge case.?

42 will fit and I have heard of guys fitting 43 but it's tight

I have a 43 in my Edge, fits just fine. Not sure if there is enough material there to make a 44 fit, but thats just it, I have no idea.

43. You MIGHT be able to mill the case to accept a 44 gear, but it would put alot of stress on your belts. Even the 43 isnt the greatest for belt life with gears under 20.

Causes friction because it reaches full shift out too quickly. Especially with smaller drivers and an aggressive helix. You can climb a house with those gears though especially with an 800 or bigger engine.
I suppose if your always riding at elevation and down on power its not quite as bad, but its still there.
