Gears or Clutching (helix)

help...

Only have a few bucks to spend on sled mods this year (stupid first house! :D:D) so which will get me farther? I'm thinking of gearing down to 55-65 or 56-64... or doing a little clutching, multi-angle helix (42/36 or 40/36) shift assist, rock rollers.

Which is a better bet? Ride here in CO from 8500-11000 ft. Sled is 08 m1000 stock except for venting, I'm 235 ready to ride. Thanks for the help in advance.

straight 40 degree helix, stock spring with shift assist....don't ruin sled with gear change, the 1000 needs to be loaded to get its' best effort, not geared down to where an 800 could pull it....

I would go with new gears just because the factory ones are junk. I have gone through 1 set each on two different sleds a M8 and M1000. Sheared the gears clean. Replaced both with BDX gears, and have got more miles on the replacement ones.

im in the same boat , i dont know what to do either! i have to get new gears anyway cause mine are messed up! but i think i might go with 5763 ? just give it a shot! if it dont work ill get 60 60 again!
